Lovely photos and words, Filipa. That sky is gorgeous! Your accidental home. 🙂 Cartier paved the way for half of my maternal ancestors who settled in Quebec. (I’ve traced back to 17th century, Charente-Maritime residents) They however left via La Rochelle, which also has a fascinating history of ‘independent’ spirits. Saint-Malo is a beautiful city.

I love « my accudental » home too. Saint-Malo and Quebec are strongly connected. La Rochelle is beautiful too and it’s history is fascinating. The tours are definitely worth visiting. I feel at home in every city by the sea. It’s amazing that you were able to trace back your ancestors until the 27th century. Wow! I’ve done my geniological family but I didn’t go that fare. 😉 It’s nice having you here Maty Jo! I fell blessed! 🙏🏻💙
