Needless to say, I knew we would have to go to the ER. However, I was far from imagining that I would spend the entire night in this room…again! Last time, it all went too fast. This time, I had enough time to rest, to have breakfast and even to take these pictures.
I’m not proud of my work. The quality is terrible! But it is my personal way of thanking, once again, the doctors, nurses and health assistants.

Why did you have to go to the ER, Filipa? 😟

I have asma and since I had Covid it got worse. They found a serious lung infection.

oh that’s scary! (I have asthma too…)

Asthma…indeed. 😉 My corrector is always cheesing me. I guess Israel’s weather is excellent, no? Saint-Malo is very humid.

depends where – Jerusalem is not so humid (we’re in the hills) but Tel Aviv – is super humid.

Oh, I didn’t know that! Is your asthma under control?

yep – when it gets troublesome on a daily basis, I have a special inhaler that I can use with a steroid, and if it’s just every so often, I have a regular inhaler… it’s essentially under control – I don’t use either inhaler very often.

Until last year I was in the same situation David. And then Covid came along…

Sorry to hear this, David. I had asthma really bad as a kid but outgrew it later. It’s a horrible condition for sure.

Oh no, sorry to hear about this, Filipa. I had terrible asthma as a kid and wound up in the ER a few times. I still remember sitting bolt-upright, gasping for breath. I wasn’t allowed to run in grade school because of it. Fortunately, I grew out of it in adolescence and haven’t had to worry about it for decades. But I’ll always remember how scary it was, and my heart goes out to you. And to David as well, if he reads this comment. Asthma is a really difficult thing to contend with regardless of age. I’m glad to hear your better now. 🙂

Oh David… 😥 We are three sisters and one brother and we all have asthma. My parents had a hard time with my brother. Your story is so similar to his own. Luckily, as he grew up asthma had almost disappeared, just like you. Me, on the other side, it just goes worse as I get older. I have a small heart problem and having Covid twice doesn’t help. That’s life! 😊 I enjoy every moment. Take care Mike.

Sorry to hear about the long-term effects of covid on your asthma. Hope you feel better! Robert and I had long covid with a series of nasty symptoms. Two years later, we are largely recovered. Take care, Filipa! ❤

Covid can be nasty indeed Cheryl. I’m glad that you and Robert are fully recovered. ❤

I’m sorry to hear you were so ill, Filipa. I didn’t realise you’d had covid twice?! And it exacerbated your asthma, that’s awful. I hope the blogging got your through and lifted your spirits. I’m glad you still shared despite health issues. Wishing you excellent health and peace of mind, mi amiga, and to your family ❤ ❤
