We are doing well. Thank you for asking, Filipa. Florida was devastated by Hurricane Ian and it will take time for the state to recover. The removal of debris from fallen trees is underway, and many roofs around us are covered with tarps and waiting to be repaired or replaced. The SW FL coast has red tide caused by the hurricane, so we won’t be going to the beach for a while.
It is encouraging that everywhere we can see the healing forces of mother nature. The live oak trees that remain standing had lost most of their leaves to the storm, but a month later, they bloomed and grew leaves like it was spring! Amazing.

We were shocked by Ian’s force. My eldest sister lived in USA and she has been several times in Florida. She used to tell us that the inhabitants were used to hurricanes and other natural catastrophes but it looks that lately they are stronger and they occur more often. But asyou say Cheryl, « mother nature is amazing ».
