I remember so well my childhood
Good old times!
Now my children are the ones that shrive me
I remember when life was made of endless Summer days
Although I’ve always preferred Autumn evenings
I remember playing with my brother and sisters
Monopoly would last all night long
It’s still the case
Certain things will never change
I remember when my skin was firm and my body flexible
My smile is not gone but my face is slightly wrinkled
And my brown hair is smoothly turning to gray
Here and there
I don’t mind aging
I wouldn’t change 45 for 22
Every birthday should be celebrated
Because we are alive
I just feel that time keeps rushing me
And there’s nothing I can do to slow it down.

Lovely poem. I too recall endless summer days 😊. I know how you feel but like you say it’s all part of life. Neither would I change 51 for 21! Enjoy rest of your week… XO
