Broken wings Cracked body Swinging legs Mouth shut Sealed lips Hands tied Locked eyes Clay feet Shouted words Scared face Dark thoughts Unrested feelings Drifting boat Heavy storm Soul in peace.
It’s a beautiful day in Saint-Malo! The sun is shining warm and bright! And I’m stuck at home because of a very painful sciatica. I have two hernias. That’s no big deal! The first one came when I was 14 years old due to horse jumping and the other one was found during my second pregnancy. The real problem is when the herniated disk pinches the sciatic nerve. Believe me, the pain is horrible! Everything hurts: walking, lying on the floor, laughing (pleese, stop!), sleeping, being seated, coughing, going to the toilet (OMG!). The doctor says this may last 2 weeks, so I just need to be patient. Meanwhile, I try to feed my brain to smooth the pain. Reading, writing and listening to music (I can’t dance in the kitchen like I usually do) are always good medicine. At least, I can sing along!
Some days are diamonds Some days are rocks Some doors are open Some roads are blocked.
Sometimes we are too busy To pay attention to details Or maybe we are just distracted Who knows? The beach is empty The sea is calm Peaceful moment The pool is overflowing Where? I don’t see it. Look closer!
Summer is singing with joy, and the beaches are inviting you with dancing waves.

I love summertime more than anything else in the world. That is the only thing that gets me through the winter, knowing that summer is going to be there.
